On  March 26th 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdown in England came into effect. Like me, many people felt suddenly adrift and somewhat isolated - floating. Only essential trips from home were allowed but I was fortunate to have a garden and the weather was fine. I took to photographing subjects in the garden. Looking back at those images 3 years later, many of them remind me of my emotional situation, of life being put ‘on hold’ and of containment and deferral.
